And ends with action.
The idea of using a bike as my primary transport has been stewing around in my head and I guess my car has decided to make me have to go through with it. Car repairs are near $1000 And I've already recently sunk $500 into it. It's to a point where the repairs aren't worth the undependable transportation and I just can't afford it. So my mom got me an early Christmas present by getting me a bike. It's pretty beast like. Needs a few tweaks but I think I can get used to it. I rode it home from the store I got it from, roughly 3 miles from home in about 15 minutes. Not all streets are bike friendly. I'll have to figure out where the best routes are away from main roads. I still have some gear to get to be able to use my bike whenever I'd need to. I got lights today while I had access to a car. I have a beast lock. Now I need a good book bag with a chest strap, a well made rain coat, and maybe a spare tire tube along with the tools to repair the tire. (sockets, mini pump, etc.) I have a feeling that the mix of riding my bike a minimum of 4 miles, 3 days a week and no longer using my bed as a computer chair will lead to much better health. I'm looking into finding replacements to sodas soon too. Now that I'll have roughly 250 more dollars per month, I can get some better beverages while still being able to save for another car.
Since I started listening to the Kyle Cease podcast, Kyle's Cult, I've decided to try to make changes to this lame life that I have going on right now. Any action will be better than the lack of action I'm taking right now. I basically need to stop procrastinating and jump into the flow of change. It should lead to a re-awakening of my creativity and allow for me to actually do something with my life. I'm looking forward to it.
Kinda tired. I'm gonna read some more Watchmen and sleep. _
